What is Ultraformer III
Ultraformer III is a multi-functional HIFU (MFHIFU) system for non-surgical lifting, tightening and contouring of face and body. Focused ultrasound creates small thermal coagulation points at precise depths without damaging the epidermis, and triggers collagen contraction and new collagen production. With the 6 and 9 mm cartridges it also works on localised body fat. The latest version, with Micro-Pulsed Technology, is Ultraformer MPT.
THE TECHNOLOGY
How Ultraformer III HIFU works
The transducer concentrates ultrasound energy in a focal zone at the depth of the selected cartridge. There the temperature rises enough to create micro-zones of coagulation, while the layers it passes through stay intact. Over the following weeks the tissue firms up and collagen is renewed.
Face cartridges
Three cartridges at 1.5 mm (7 MHz), 3.0 mm (7 MHz) and 4.5 mm (4 MHz) work from the superficial dermis down to the SMAS: wrinkles, skin texture and tone, sagging cheeks and jawline.
Body cartridges
The 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm (2 MHz) cartridges reach the subcutaneous tissue for tightening and contouring of abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and back.
High peak power dual engine
The dual engine delivers higher peak power than conventional systems: each shot is shorter, more effective and better tolerated.
Two handpieces with automatic recognition
When the left or right handpiece is selected, the system recognises it and sets up the interface automatically. The shot counter tracks the remaining pulses of each cartridge.

What is the difference between Ultraformer III and Ultraformer MPT?
Ultraformer III is the multi-functional HIFU platform with a dual engine and five cartridges. Ultraformer MPT is the next generation: it adds Micro-Pulsed Technology, faster transducers, more cartridges and the Ultra Booster handpiece.
Which areas can be treated?
On the face: forehead, brows, cheeks, jawline, double chin and neck. On the body: abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, axilla, back, lower legs and ankles. The cartridge is chosen according to the area and tissue thickness.
Is the treatment painful?
Sensitivity varies from patient to patient. High peak power allows shorter shots, which reduce discomfort compared with conventional HIFU.
Is there any downtime?
Usually not: focused ultrasound does not damage the skin surface and patients return to normal activities straight away.
