What is Lutronic eCO2 Plus
Lutronic eCO2 Plus is a 10,600 nm fractional CO2 laser with 30 W of power, designed for ablative skin resurfacing. The beam is split into microbeams that vaporize microscopic columns of tissue and trigger collagen remodelling, while leaving the skin between the columns intact. It is designed for dermatologists, aesthetic physicians and plastic surgeons who want to treat scars, wrinkles, texture and skin lesions with one device.
THE TECHNOLOGY
How the fractional CO2 laser works
10,600 nm light is absorbed by the water in the tissue. Each microbeam vaporizes a column of tissue surrounded by a coagulation zone: the skin heals from the surrounding healthy tissue, producing new collagen and renewing the epidermis.
120, 300 and 500 µm tips
The 120 µm tip creates narrow, deep columns, up to 2.4 mm at 160 mJ, suited to scars and deep wrinkles. The 300 µm tip creates wider, shallower columns for texture and dyschromia. The 500 µm tip, also included as standard, completes the set.
Controlled Chaos Technology (CCT)
Microbeams are delivered in random order rather than in sequence, each one as far as possible from the last. The tissue has time to cool between pulses, reducing the risk of bulk heating and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
EcoTone: low-downtime resurfacing
At low energy and density eCO2 Plus also performs light rejuvenation treatments with short recovery. The same device serves both patients who want a marked result and those who cannot take time off.
Adjustable density and scan area
Density from 25 to 400 spots/cm², scan area up to 18 × 18 mm, static or dynamic scanning and a repetition rate up to 200 Hz: every parameter adapts to the area and skin type.

eCO2 Plus FAQ
What is the difference between ablative and non-ablative fractional lasers?
An ablative CO2 laser vaporizes columns of tissue and produces the strongest remodelling: it is the choice for scars, deep wrinkles and texture. Non-ablative lasers leave the surface intact, with more gradual results and shorter recovery. In EcoTone mode eCO2 Plus also performs light treatments.
Which tip is used for acne scars and wrinkles?
The 120 µm tip reaches the greatest depth and is suited to acne scars and deep wrinkles. The 300 µm tip works more superficially over a wider area, for texture and dyschromia.
What is the recovery time?
It depends on energy and density. After a deep ablative treatment, redness and small crusts appear for a few days; with EcoTone and light settings recovery is shorter. CCT limits bulk heating of the tissue and helps keep recovery time down.
Are consumables required?
No: eCO2 Plus uses no consumables, and the 120, 300 and 500 µm tips are included as standard.
