What is Lutronic Hollywood Spectra
Lutronic Hollywood Spectra is a 1064 and 532 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with nano-acoustic technology: pulses lasting a few nanoseconds that deliver pico-like efficacy without the cost of a picosecond system. It is the platform behind the Hollywood Laser Peel and Hollywood AcnePeel, and also treats melasma, pigmentation, acne scars and multicoloured tattoos, covering more than 20 indications on all skin types. It is designed for dermatologists and aesthetic physicians who want one versatile laser for the most requested treatments.
THE TECHNOLOGY
How Hollywood Spectra works
Q-switched pulses last a few billionths of a second: the energy shatters pigment with a photoacoustic effect before heat spreads to the surrounding tissue. In Spectra mode, with a longer 0.3 ms pulse, the laser instead heats the skin layers in a controlled way: this is the mode used for the Hollywood Laser Peel and rejuvenation treatments.
1064 nm and 532 nm
1064 nm works deep: dark ink, nevus of Ota, melasma, acne and acne scars. 532 nm works superficially: light ink and epidermal pigment such as lentigines, freckles and café-au-lait macules.
HyperSurge and IntelliBeam
The two technologies deliver about 80% of the energy in the first 2–3 ns and create a flat-top beam profile with no hot spots: consistent delivery, greater reliability and lower service costs.
Multi-Depth Focus (MDF) handpiece
It splits the 1064 or 532 nm beam into microbeams with three selectable focal depths, to stimulate collagen and treat acne scars.
Handpieces and modes
